Story of Dr. Seuss Baking Challenge

A competition reality programme where nine teams from around the United States compete for $50,000 by recreating the wonderful world of Dr. Seuss via elaborate pastries, cookies, and other confections.

Two teams would compete for a $50,000 grand prize on the unscripted TV show. A pastry chef and a cake artist would be assigned to each group, and the teams would use their collective creativity to create mouthwatering sweets to wow the judges. As the mix of fondue and melting chocolate makes you drool, each episode showcases a new dish you may enjoy.

Dr Seuss Enterprises and Super Delicious are the creators of Dr Seuss Baking Challenge. Maya Hayes would join Angel Figueroa, the team’s cake decorator, as a pastry chef who helps out her group. The show’s host would be Tamera Mowry. Previous appearances by Mowry include the sitcoms Sister, Sister, Tia, and Tamera.

The contenders would next have to confront Clarice Lam and Josua John Russell on the judges’ panel. As a dessert specialist, Lam owns a bakery, and Russel is a pastry chef you may recognise from Food Network Challenge. Huiwen Lu, Kerrie Breuer, Nikki Jessop, Lorenzo Delgado, Tareka Lofton, and Lily Sanchez are among those who will be taking part. Lam, a Toronto native and Los Angeles native who specialises in pastry, is one of the judges. The chef spent some time as a model before heading back to school in the United States, where she earned a Grand Diplôme in Classic Pastry Arts from The French Culinary Institute. Lam has since honed her skills at Michelin-starred kitchens, including Thomas Keller’s Bouchon Bakery, Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s Spice Market, and the Brooklyn institution The Chocolate Room. She launched The Baking Bean, a Brooklyn-based direct-to-consumer bakery that sells all-natural, seasonal pastries and confections, in 2012.

Cake decorating and pastry cooking are only two of Russell’s many talents. Beginning his career as a pastry chef at North Carolina’s Grove Park Inn, he starred in 15 episodes of “The Food Network Challenge” and all six episodes of “Last Cake Standing.” Russell was recognised as one of the top ten cake designers in North America by Dessert Professional Magazine in 2015. Now he’s the host of “You’ve Been Desserted” on Atlanta’s Irca and a corporate pastry chef.
